How to read the Cups sequence

Sidequest uses Cups to explore feeling, relationship, receptivity, imagination, and the ways experience moves between people. This is a project-authored organizing frame. A particular deck, school, or reader may emphasize other correspondences.

Notice containers, water, exchanges, distance, and whether emotion appears held, offered, spilled, or shared. Then compare the number or court role across the other suits. The repeated rank can reveal a structural relationship without forcing all four cards into one meaning.

A sequence practice

1. Lay the Ace through Ten of Cups in order and describe only visible changes.
2. Place Page, Knight, Queen, and King beside the numbered sequence; ask what each role notices or does.
3. Write one pattern supported by the artwork and one assumption the comparison unsettles.
